Thank you for a lovely stay at Captian’s Retreat. It is a beautiful and very well equipped house, very clean and welcoming, the dog loved it too. There is a lot to see and explore in the towns and villages around, castles, museums, churches and lovely beaches. I hope we will come back, we enjoyed every minute.

Absolutely stunning, spacious and modern property that is well equipped with everything you need. The welcoming hamper is a lovely touch greatly appreciated with a separate goodie bag for the dogs. The owner kept in contact which was helpful. Close to the beach with a lovely beach Café further along the beach on the right. <br/>Would 100% recommend.

A Wonderful Stay at The Captain's Retreat at The Bay in Filey!<br/><br/>We recently stayed at The Captain's Retreat in Filey as a family of four and had an amazing experience. The cottage was clean and beautifully decorated, with a charming seaside theme that made us feel right at home. The living area was cozy and perfect for family movie nights, and the kitchen was well-equipped, including the added bonus of an air fryer, which made preparing our own meals a breeze.<br/><br/>The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring we all had a great night’s sleep after busy days exploring. Our kids loved having their own room, which gave them plenty of space to play and relax. The variety of games provided was a great touch, keeping them entertained throughout our stay.<br/><br/>We also appreciated the local pub recommendation— the food was delicious, though it was a bit on the pricey side. Still, the convenience and quality made it worth a visit.<br/><br/>The onsite facilities were fantastic, with a pool, steam room, and sauna providing a great way to unwind. There’s even a kids' arcade centre, which our children absolutely loved (parents, be ready to spend a little extra here!).<br/><br/>Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend The Captain's Retreat to any family looking for a cozy, well-located getaway that offers both comfort and fun.

We had a lovely stay at The Captains Retreat.<br/>Perfect welcome hamper and presentation of the holiday home.<br/>We had 6 adult guests and there was enough room for us all. Great outdoor seating which extended the living space.<br/>Location is perfect and facilities on site are good too.<br/>We will be back!

We have had a fantastic stay in beautiful, very well equipped cottage. Very welcoming place, lovely walk on the beach into Filey followed by fish and chips and bus ride back. Used the swimming pool and pub on site - both were great. Would definitely come again.

This is our second stay at Captains Retreat and what a lovely place this is. This certainly won’t be our last stay and looking forward to future bookings.

We had a wonderful stay at Captain's Retreat! The communication before, during and after was great and Eithne responded to any questions we had promptly. There was a little welcome pack for us and the dog, which was a lovely touch. The house was very clean, spacious and it had all of the amenities you would need. We would definitely recommend :) <br/>

We had a great time this weekend staying in the captain's retreat with our family of four. We had a great time with plenty on offer for the kids and good leisure facilities enjoyed by both our children at different age. We had great walks down the beach during the day and took advantage of the ninja air fryer and nespresso machine in the kitchen! We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning soon.

Beautiful holiday home, perfect for our week away, loved the welcome hamper and all the amenities were brill. Couldn't of asked for a better place to stay, will recommend to friends and family and hopefully stay again next year.
